Anke Kuhl

Anke Kuhl, born in 1970, studied visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach. In 1998, she founded the LABOR studio community in Frankfurt with Philip Waechter and Moni Port, among others. For almost 25 years, she has been involved in drawing and writing numerous children's books here. In 2015 she published her first comic Lehmriese lebt (Reprodukt), followed in 2020 by Manno! (Klett Kinderbuch).
Anke Kuhl has received several awards, including the German Youth Literature Award in 2011 together with author Alexandra Maxeiner for Alles Familie (Klett Kinderbuch), as well as the Leibinger Comic Book Award 2019 for Manno!, published in Italian by Topipittori (Uffa!).
