Claudia Ravaldi was born in Modena, but for years she has lived in the province of Prato, where she tries to tame any animal that crosses her tiny garden and to propagate cuttings of all kinds. She is a doctor, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist, holds a PhD in neuroscience, and has a Master’s degree in children’s and young adult literature. In 2006, she founded CiaoLapo, an association dedicated to health during the first thousand days and to supporting families affected by pregnancy loss and perinatal death. She collaborates with hospitals and family clinics to promote best practices in care through training courses and bibliotherapy projects. She writes essays, scientific articles, and non-fiction/outreach texts. She collects picture books and tarot decks.
