Luisa Mattia was born in Rome, where she still lives. After many years as a school teacher, she devoted to children’s literature and started publishing novels. Among her most successful books there are La scelta (Premio Pippi 2006), I jeans di Garibaldi, Ti chiami Lupo Gentile. She’s author of Melevisione, a very famous RAI TRE children’s TV show, together with five other “fellow writers” of hers. She has invented and currently coordinates a writing project “with” primary school children. In 2008 she was awarded the Andersen Prize for the “best writer”.
