Guarda dove metti i piedi is a photographic book that invites us to walk familiar paths with a different perspective.
Children’s feet – whether still or in motion – can see and feel. Through touch, they search, until the eyes recognize and give shape to the unnoticed.
To see what? Paul Klee might say: the invisible. Things do not exist until we look at them. If we are not attentive they remain unseen.
Children’s feet, however, are always exactly where they are. For this reason, they feel and see. They make stories out of what seemed invisible – stories that change as we observe them, stories that can carry us elsewhere.
Just like these photographs: each time you look at them, they become something new.
