Veloce e lontano. Storia di lettere, messaggi e messaggeri

Since the ancient times we've heard of peculiar messengers who travel fast and far: Hermes for the Greeks; Mercury for the Romans; the incredibly fast Pheidippides who arrived from Marathon to Athens in one day; the angels; the homing pigeons trained for bringing urgent and secret messages, and many more. This book, produced in collaboration with Museo dei Tasso e della Storia postale (in Northern Italy), retraces the history of communication.

Io e Pepper

The main character of this book is the body, which is familiar to every child as much as it can be a mysterious territory to discover, with fear and bewilderment. Something ordinary happens to a young girl: she falls down and hurts her knee. After a while a scab comes up, and for the child it's a new presence to be questioned. What does it want? Why did it came? How many days it'll take to go? Or will it stay forever? One day, surprise, surprise, the scab starts to speak.

Avventura di una lucciola a Milano

It's a summer-night and a firefly is wandering through the empty streets of Milan. From Duomo to other iconic spots, the tiny protagonist becomes one with the lamp posts along a stream, with the tram's lights, with a cat's eyes and so on, like a series of movie stills that go towards a truly poetic ending. Paolo Ventura blends the language of art, photography and cinema with eclectic talent.

In primavera In autunno

In spring branches blossom, crickets sing, ladybirds fly, frogs croak... In autumn leaves fly, the moon shines, squirrels stockpile, the fog comes... In primavera In autunno is the fifth board-book of the successful series built around opposites, by Giovanna Zoboli and Philip Giordano, to tell seasons, the passing of time, and to observe microscopic details of the world.
