Sylvie Bello

Sylvie Bello is a French illustrator born in Besançon in 1980. Her background is textile design but she's rather passionate about drawing and illustration. After her education, she moved to Italy where she started her career with International exhibitions such as Ilustrarte in Lisbon or I colori del Sacro in Padua. In 2015 she was awarded Premio della Critica at Tapirulan contest. She often works with monotype but she likes graphite and traditional handmade techniques like engraving and silk-screen printing.

Marianna Merisi

Marianna Merisi is a landscape architect who gathers together either a wide botanical knowledge and uncommon talent in drawing. In 2015 she was awarded with Premio Lavinia Taverna, a prominent prize dedicated to women working in the fields of gardening and landscape. She graduated at Milan Politecnico with a thesis on “Pioneer Plants: a urban regeneration project”. Since 2010 to 2016 she collaborated with Cooperativa Sociale Cascina Bollate, inside the jail premises in the outskirts of Milan, a nursery-garden where unusual plant species are grown.

Rotraut Susanne Berner

Rotraut Susanne Berner, grew up in a rural landscape in the fifties in the south-west of Germany.  She studied graphik-design in Munich and started her working life designing book-jackets for adults' books. with the focus on illustration. Since many years she is designing and illustrating books for adults and now mainly for children, writing also her own stories. As she herself says, she was influenced by the german illustrator Walter Trier and Wilhelm Busch.

Riccardo Guasco

Riccardo Guasco is a painter and illustrator based in Italy. He researches the lightness of form and color of the heat and he does it with a few colors and simple lines. He loves old posters of the 30’s, Picasso, Depero, Feininger, the Russian suprematism, Cubism and heroic cyclists of old times. His illustrations appear on advertising campaigns, magazines, books, hats and bicycles.

Ivan Chermayeff

Ivan Chermayeff is one of the most prolific and well known graphic designers and illustrators in the USA. He graduated at Yale University and founded the Chermayeff & Geismar studio, with Tom Geismar, designing logos and brand images which have become famous worldwide ever since. He was awarded the Yale Arts Medal, the gold medals of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the Society of Illustrators. He also served for two decades as a trustee of the Museum of Modern Art.

Anais Tonelli

Anais Tonelli nasce a Genova e attualmente vive a Marsiglia (con due gatti e un cuoco) dove disegna, ricama e sperimenta. Formatasi in Scenografia all'Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti, nel 2010 viene selezionata al Master di Illustrazione per l'Editoria ARS IN FABULA. Nel 2012 collabora con la rivista spagnola Cuentos Para el Anden e in seguito si occupa di didattica tenendo laboratori artistici con bambini e ragazzi presso il Comune di Genova e lo Studio Fotokino (Marsiglia). Con quest'ultimo collabora anche come illustratrice freelance e mediatrice culturale.

Geena Forrest

Geena Forrest is graduated in forestry and environmental sciences; she is specialized in writing very serious analysis about greenhouse gas emissions but she has always fostered her passion for insects and plants, that she draws for scientific purpose. Since 2008 she performs picture book readings at Montebelluna library and she’s attended Sarmede School of Illustration and Atelier in Padua. She lives in a hornbeam and chestnut tree forrest, with a bearded scientist and two adorable little wild ones.
