A letter for Leo

A letter for Leo is the first picture book for children published in Italy by Sergio Ruzzier, an illustrator born in Milan currently living and working in New York, where he was taught by and became friends with Maurice Sendak. He’s now considered among the greatest authors of picture book in the United States. It is the story of a friendship between the postman Leo and little Cip: a real gem of moving, sparkling humour to make us meditate on the gifts of friendship.

Little story

Cristina Bellemo and Alicia Baladan together make up a Little Story though nothing but the title is little in it. Everything else’s big: the words, the images, the poetry, the atmosphere. A great story that tells the joy of a baby’s birth, his growing up until he takes wing and flies away, with confidence, happiness and strength. If you’ve appreciated The lost lightness (La leggerezza perduta), then be ready: here you’ll find the same beauty, humour and grace of these two stars of children’s literature.

The Marvelous Fluffy Squishy Itty Bitty

The Marvelous Fluffy Squishy Itty Bitty is the latest, awaited picture book by Beatrice Alemagna. Everyone as a child must have been looking for a very special gift for their mum once! In this story Eddie, a little girl dressed up in fuchsia who believes she’s not good at anything, starts wandering to find the best present in the world. But all she finds is a funny, strange creature which she rescues from the bin before finding out that... Great unexpected ending.

The angel of shoes

Where do angels live? Some people think they live up in Christmas trees among the sparkling lights and colorful balls, or inside shop windows to illuminate the most expensive celebration of the year. Others think they simply inhabit the mystery and therefore they could be anywhere, for example, even on a balcony of a building at the most remote city in the world. Maybe an angel arrives when you feel a small empty space inside you that nourishes itself upon darkness, silence and awe.
