Kurt Vonnegut
Kurt Vonnegut is a unique voice in the American literary canon. He was born in 1922 in Indianapolis, and studied at the University of Chicago and the University of Tennessee. In the Second World War, he became a German prisoner of war and was present during the bombing of Dresden. This experience provided inspiration for his most successful and influential novel, Slaughterhouse-Five. Vonnegut wrote extensively in many forms, including novels, short stories, essays, plays, articles, speeches, and correspondence, some of which was published posthumously.
Geena Forrest
Geena Forrest is graduated in forestry and environmental sciences; she is specialized in writing very serious analysis about greenhouse gas emissions but she has always fostered her passion for insects and plants, that she draws for scientific purpose. Since 2008 she performs picture book readings at Montebelluna library and she’s attended Sarmede School of Illustration and Atelier in Padua. She lives in a hornbeam and chestnut tree forrest, with a bearded scientist and two adorable little wild ones.

Cristina Portolano
Cristina Portolano nasce a Napoli nel 1986. Dopo il liceo artistico, studia a Bologna all'Accademia di Belle Arti. Dopo l'Erasmus a Parigi, all' École nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratif, si appassiona alla grafica d'arte e all'incisione. Oggi, disegna storie a fumetti, è illustratrice, insegna educazione artistica alle scuole medie e tiene laboratori di disegno e arte murale.
Arianna Squilloni
Arianna Squilloni è nata e cresciuta in Italia. Da più di tredici anni, vive a Mataró, una cittadina vicino a Barcellona, in Spagna. Qui ha fondato la casa editrice A Buen Paso, che pubblica libri per l'infanzia, fra Spagna e America Latina. Appassionata di linguistica, nel tempo libero studia le lingue straniere (ora tocca al cinese), scrive articoli, organizza laboratori, corsi e partecipa a conferenze. Ha pubblicato alcuni libri in Spagna e all'estero. L'estate e tutto il resto segna il suo esordio nella narrativa.
Giuseppe Caliceti
Giuseppe Caliceti has been working as a primary school teacher in Reggio Emilia for over thirty years. He wrote many books for children, young and adult readers. In 2003 he was awarded Elsa Morante - L’Isola di Arturo prize. He is founder and in charge of Baobab - Casa della letteratura italiana per ragazzi, an association from Reggio Emilia that organizes lectures of the main Italian literature authors to students ranging from kindergarten to primary, secondary, high school and college.
Andrea Nante
Andrea Nante is an Art historian. Since 2000, he is director of Museo Diocesano in Padua. From 1996 to 1999 he worked at the Andrea Palladio International Centre for Architectural Studies, in Vicenza. He was teacher of Ancient and Medieval Art History at the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara.
Valentina Zucchi
Valentina Zucchi was born in 1977 in Biella, Piedmont. She first graduated in History of Modern Art and then in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and has been working on the relation between museums and visitors ever since. She created a department for education at Santa Maria della Scala, in Siena, and contributed to the development of an art lab at Palazzo delle Esposizioni and Scuderie del Quirinale, in Rome. Since 2004 she lives in Florence where she devotes herself to enhance the collection of Musei Civici Fiorentini, that is where this series of books about colours come from.
Guia Risari
Guia Risari è nata nel 1971 a Milano, dove ha studiato filosofia, lavorando come educatrice e giornalista per L’Unità. Ha ottenuto un M.A. in Modern Jewish Studies all’Università di Leeds e vissuto dieci anni in Francia. Attualmente scrive, traduce e tiene laboratori di scrittura e lettura. Ha pubblicato due saggi – The Document Within the Walls e Jean Améry. Il risentimento come morale – e tradotto romanzi e libri per l’infanzia.
