Two monkeys in the kitchen

Above any other thing, Michele loves monkeys. He reads in his book that monkeys spend their time reading, dancing, playing, and discovering the world. On the other hand, Michele’s sister has more important things to think about: her days go by between a Chinese lesson and a ballet class. But is it really true that the busiest people are the happiest too? Michele invites her sister to spend an afternoon as monkeys do.

The three little pigs

Once upon a time there were three little pigs. Or rather, two little male-pigs; because the third one was a female-pig. So begins this new version of the famous fairy tale. The introduction of the female character brings a revolution in the plot. Because the third little pig, although scared by the wolf, does not want to stay calm into a comfortable, safe and warm house waiting. Unlike her brothers, she is not so sure this is a good idea. And so she comes up with a solution of her own. A very clever one.

Animal supermarket

At the Animal Supermarket you can find only natural, healthy food. And the beasts are very picky, when it comes to eating. This book is a colourful and unconventional guide to a correct diet, where children are invited to consider the difference between what animals eat and what they are offered in shops and supermarkets. A book with a game, to entertain children while teaching them the principles of good nutrition.

Anselmo goes to school

A rabbit who tells jokes and a kid who flies, at night, on his pedal car. A shy soul and a brave heart. A school populated with chattering dictionaries and melancholic globes. A dream-like adventure through classrooms and alphabets, books and desks, helping kids face the great mistery of school looming ahead.

Scientists in the kitchen

Children living in the city don’t have many opportunities to observe nature. Few of them know, though, that there’s a whole laboratory available to them: their home kitchen. Federica Buglioni, author, and Anna Resmini, illustrator, present a new PiNO (our Natural Science collection) book. Forty-eight pages of experiments to discover seeds and vegetables, and to analyze their amazing anatomy. [Text in Italian]

At the market

After their trip to the beach (In spiaggia, 2017), Susanna Mattiangeli and Vessela Nikolova are back in town to observe the people crowded at the marketplace. Grandmother has to buy gloves for herself, a gift for Aunt Ada and something for her granddaughter who’s coming along. Together they search, discover, taste, listen and observe. Because the market is a beautiful game where you need to practice your sight a lot. Another masterpiece of text and images to tell the lively bustle of the world. [Text in Italian]

Il burrone

Everything is possible in this book: words sneak into other words making their meanings twist and change. After In ogni pinocchio, Giuseppe Caliceti is back with another work of smart play and fun, illustrated by Liuna Virardi, whose synthetic graphic style perfectly matches the book’s humour. But it’s just a beginning: readers could play and make up this language game again and again. [Text in Italian]

What is a river?

A river is a journey. A singing spring, a crevasse in a glacier, a muddy swamp or a silent lake: that's where a river is born. In a moment. Then it starts to run. A girl observes what surrounds her on the river bank and asks many questions. Her grandmother is there to answer and she seems to know every secret of it.
